Have you ever been trying to get dinner on the table and your child continuously bombards you with the “Why” questions.  These questions can range from the easy like why it rains to the more difficult such as “why my eyes are different from my sibling.” These questions are critical to a child’s development and helps them make sense of the world around them.  According to Harvard child psychologist, Paul Harris, a child asks around 40,000 questions between the ages of two and five.  These sometimes, perplexing questions led me to publish the Jacob’s Dream children’s book series.

The goal of the Jacob’s dream series is to help children expand their natural curiosity and make the connection to different things they see, hear and do in life. The book is based on a little boy named Jacob who is very curious about things and often has a lot of dreams. The books are designed to develop children’s ability to think, read and learn. In addition to reading, the books provide pages for children to color which enhance their motor skills, focus, patience, creativity and self-expression.  The ten Jacob Dream children books include:

(1) Jacob’s Dream! A Children’s Guide to Understanding the Coronavirus

(2) Jacob’s Dream! A Story of Careers for Children

(3) Jacob’s Dream! A Story of Animals in Africa

(4) Jacob’s Dream! A Lesson on Numbers and Birds

(5) Jacob’s Dream! A Lesson on Alphabets and Continents

(6) Jacob’s Dream! A Story of Bullying in School & Ways to Stop It

(7) Jacob’s Dream! A Story of the Solar System

(8) Jacob’s Dream! A Lesson on Flowers and Colors

(9) Jacob’s Dream! A Story of People & Cultures from Different Countries

(10) Jacob’s Dream! A Bible Story of Naomi and Ruth

It is imperative that children are encouraged to ask questions. It is also important that children are provided the necessary answers to their questions and provided resources to develop their minds. To order these exciting books on current topics, click on the titles of the books in the links above.
