Is it time for contact tracing?
In public health, contact tracing is the process of identifying individuals who might have come into contact with an infected person and subsequently collecting additional information about these contacts to reduce infections in the population. On October 2, President Trump tweeted that he tested positive for COVID-19. This resulted in the White House undergoing contact tracing by identifying all government officials who came in close contact with the president, testing them for COVID-19, having them to isolate themselves from others or having them to get treatment if they were infected by the virus. As we try to stay safe from the coronavirus, the critical question to be asked is: How can schools educate their students on COVID-19?
If we are going to contain the virus, everyone will need to take an active role in combating the disease. The Holmes Education Post and Einestine Technology Services have partnered to create an online program to educate elementary, middle, high school, college, and university students on COVID-19. This curriculum covers three objectives: (1) what is COVID-19; (2) how does COVID-19 spread; and (3) what actions students can take to protect themselves and others from getting and spreading the virus.
Schools, colleges, and universities can use this online program as a part of their “Student Code of Conduct” and as a tool for students’ re-entry into the campus environment. The 30-minute program is delivered in a modular format followed by test your knowledge questions. In addition to being offered in multiple platforms such Windows, OSX and Android, the program provides technical support to assist schools in implementation.
This online program is also aligned with Ronald Holmes’ latest book entitled “Jacob’s Dream! A Children’s Guide to Understanding the Coronavirus (COVID-19). It teaches children about the coronavirus and 10 ways to protect themselves and other people from the disease. Elementary teachers and homeschool parents can use the book to facilitate classroom instructions on COVID-19, build the student’s vocabulary and apply learning to practice.
If you are a leader of a school, college, or university and interested in learning more about how to incorporate this online program in your educational institution, please contact Dr. Ronald Holmes at [email protected] If you are interested in ordering this book, visit Amazon.com; Authorhouse.com; or Barnes & Noble.

Hi Dr. Holmes,
This is a much-needed training. Thanks for developing it. I hope everyone will wear masks, social distance and wash their hands.
